5D Cyborg

Five-D were showing off their high end compositing solution, 5D Cyborg. 5D Cyborg is a high speed turnkey compositing application for broadcast, HD and film. 5D Cyborg has certainly generated a great deal of interest with it’s amazing performance and extensive toolset, which benefits from 5D’s experience in the high end of post production. With it’s pedigree of a huge number of high end plug-ins, it is destined to become the ultimate finishing suite for film and HD. New features demonstrated were the inclusion of the Stardust film restoration tools and Ultimatte.

A unique feature of 5D Cyborg is its ability to read directly from discreet and Avid framestores, thereby alleviating the need to export media from these systems. 5D Cyborg comes with a variety of options from no video I/O to HD. Also demonstrated was 5D Commander, a real time film playback system based on Boxx Technologies Cineboxx.
